I do not throw the term “crowd pleaser” about with reckless abandon.
This here ice cream cake is definitely a crowd pleaser!
You build it and they will come – and if 20 people come, they will all get a piece of this ridiculously delicious and addictive ice cream cake.
Ok settle down let’s get to it!
ingredients
- lasagna pan (9×11)
- 24 ice cream sandwiches
- 2 tubs cool whip
- 1 caramel sauce
- 1 chocolate sauce
- pkge crumbled SKOR bar (for the win!)
So this basically gets assembled like a lasagna so maybe I should have called it Lasagna Ice Cr…. nope, Ice Cream Cake was the right choice!
this is how we do it
It’s easier to show you:
Now that you have the plain cool whip covered cake (last photo) you freeze for 2-3 hours.
This is the kind of cake you serve when you have people coming to your place.
It doesn’t travel well and freezer space at other people’s places can be a challenge.
When you are ready to serve you slice it up and add the sauces and skor (or whatever) overtop in dramatic fashion.
Prepare to be applauded on this dessert home run!
