Instant Pot Buttery Noodles

Hey everybody guess what!

Apparently toddlers don’t have the same palette as adults.

I’m relearning this with my 3 yo grand daughter and as a result, I bring you this surprisingly delicious side dish, Buttery Noodles.

Satisfy the most picky of eaters but also have creative license to elevate this for the big people.

what you need

  • Instant pot, 6 quart

ingredients

  • 340 gram pkge of egg noodles (broad or extra broad)
  • 3 cups chicken broth (I love the Better than Bouillon brand
  • 1/2 stick of butter 🧈 (4 tbsp)

I’m serious that’s it. Took everything in me to try this recipe cause it just seemed too simple. Have I become a judgy recipe snob?!

this is how we do it

  • Set to sauté and melt butter.
  • Once melted cancel sauté and immediately add broth and gently mix in noodles.
  • Set to Pressure Cook or Manual (turn off keep warm) 4 minutes.
  • Do a quick release.
  • If there’s too much liquid for your liking press sauté and stir til evaporated.
  • Remove pot from IP to completely stop the cooking.

I will make this again!

I added sautéed onions and bacon to ours and it was fantastic with Al dente noodles to boot!

Recipe from the Instant Pot Bible cookbook.
